ConstructSim Planner CONNECT Edition Update 5 Help

Work Package Dialog

Used to create new or edit existing Work Packages. When you create a new Work Package, the Component List and the Task List are blank. When you edit an existing Work Package, the Component List and Task List are populated accordingly.

By default, the Work Package pane is open and docked to the left side of the application window. If any work packages have been created in the project, an expansion node (+) displays next to Work Packages. Work Packages are sorted by type (CWP, IWP, TWP). Work Packages show the VCM organized into groups of tasks bundled together, usually representing the 1 to 2 weeks of crew hours.

You also can open the dialog by selecting Work Package > Work Packages from the ConstructSim menu.

To create a work package, right-click Work Packages and from the menu, choose New Work Package. If you right-click a work package type (for example, IWP), you only can create a new work package of that type.

If you double-click a component in the Component List, the 3D view centers on the component as well as highlights the components in the Component Tree, and its respective User Defined group.
